it’s that time of year again, when the world gets into high-speed and everyone is frantically running around trying to push as much into the remaining part of the year as they can.
Shopping for Christmas, baking, cleaning the house, and making all kinds of plans and resolutions for the New Year. By the time we reach the Holidays, we’re exhausted, stressed out, and (as in my case) usually sick.
The children have a busy program, too. Reaching all the way from The Nutcracker ballet performance, to xmas crafting, choir practice and Instrumental Christmas Celebrations.
Every year, we are worried that we’re not getting everything done in time, and this leaves us with a feeling of dissatisfaction, once again.
Be Gentle with Yourself, You’re Doing The Best You Can.
This year, it’s time to shift back the gears a little and realize, how much you have done this year. You have given your best!
Whether you’re a parent raising children, or an employee working hard, while separated from your children all day. A young adult trying to make ends meet and build a life, or an elderly person working hard for the last year before you finally deserve your retirement. “You’re all doing the best you can!” So, give YOURSELF a praise, for once!
To simplify the end of year preparations in my home, I’ve decided to have a very simple, quick and neutral styling. I’ve used cotton twigs, that have a very soft feel to the touch and combined them with other natural elements in organic colors. The overall look is soothing to the eye and reminds me to stay calm, even if things around me get hectic.
I wish you and your families a blissful Holiday Season, and don’t forget to shift your gears back a little! Remember, YOU’RE DOING THE BEST YOU CAN!
With Love, Monika
