Just when I was convinced, that our sun must have moved to an entirely different solar system (I haven’t seen it for weeks), it unexpectedly shone through my curtains, this morning.
Winter, in my corner of the world, is dull, grey and downright depressing at times. It makes you feel dark and cold inside, and you find yourself assuming that you would never see the sunlight again.
As a natural light photographer, I often struggle with the lack of light. I feel frustrated, and some days I don’t even touch my camera, even though, I’m absolutely passionate about taking pictures.
Then, this morning, as I captured these images, I realized that light is relative. Light in other corners of the world is quite different. And, so are the photos you can take in different places.
However, I have to live with the light available to me! It is unique to my place. And, it has it’s own beauty! In the scarcity of light, the beauty in the details can truly emerge. The objects get all the attention they deserve!
Sometimes, we need less light, to see more of the beautiful details in everyday things!
If you, too, suffer from lack of sunlight, try looking at some of your favorite objects and truly see the beauty in the details.
Have a great weekend!
With Love, Monika
